Save an Instagram recipe to Foodie.
Use Instagram’s Share to menu, choose Save to Foodie, and find the finished recipe in your library.
Instagram’s bookmark keeps a link inside Instagram. Save to Foodie creates a recipe in your Foodie library, with ingredients and instructions you can review and cook from. Follow these steps to save your next find.

Open the Reel or recipe post
On your iPhone, open the public Reel or post you want to save. Keep the creator’s caption available if it contains useful ingredients or instructions.

Tap Share, then Share to…
Tap the paper-airplane Share button in Instagram. In the panel that opens, choose Share to… to open the iPhone share menu.

Choose Save to Foodie
Find Save to Foodie in the share menu and tap it. If it is not immediately visible, open View More or More and look through the available actions.

Continue while Foodie prepares the recipe
You can leave the generator instead of watching it finish. Foodie analyzes the source and saves the result to your library. Video processing may take longer than a text recipe. If you have allowed notifications, Foodie can let you know when it is ready.

Review the saved recipe
Open Foodie and check the ingredients, quantities and steps. Edit anything that needs correcting, add it to a cookbook, or open Cook now when you are ready.
Pro tips
Small details that help.
- If you are still in Instagram’s sharing panel, choose Share to… to reach the iPhone menu.
- If the source is private or lacks recipe information, try a public recipe page, text or a photo you can access.
- Review estimated quantities before cooking; do not assume every video contains a complete written recipe.

Where is Save to Foodie?
Open Instagram’s Share panel, then Share to…. In the iPhone share menu, look for Save to Foodie or open View More / More. You can also open the sharing guide inside Foodie.
Do I need to wait in the app?
No. You can close the generator while the recipe is being prepared. It will be saved to your library when ready. Notifications depend on the permission you have given Foodie.
Can I save a private post?
A private or inaccessible source may not be available to Foodie. Use accessible recipe information, a public link, text or a photo instead.
Does saving always take a few seconds?
Video analysis can take longer than a text recipe. You can leave the generator and find the recipe in your library when it is ready.
How to save TikTok recipes
Open TikTok’s share menu, tap More, and use Save to Foodie. You can leave while the recipe is prepared.
